Praise In The Park

Saturday night in Lucedale was a night to remember! Over 10,000 people crowded into the downtown park of the cute southern town of Lucedale, MS, and had a fun night of praise and worship. This is the second year in a row that we have played this event. Last year we were with Mr. Mark Shultz. This year it was us and Casting Crowns. We played a 40 min. set before CC and it was awesome to see a sea of people singing along and worshipping Jesus! Jen, Jake, and Jonah were there so Jen brought the boys up for the last song "Thank You". Jake brought his Gibson electric guitar onstage and Jonah had a mic. The crowd screamed when they came out. I think it scared Jake to death but Jonah seemed to soak it up. It was so great having my family there!!
We even had Jennifer's parents, sister and her kids, as well as my parents. It made the night even more special with us all being together. Casting put on a great show, as usual, and I have to say that I love Mark Hall. Such a great heart! The committee for the event said that they wanted us back for next year. I asked, "Aren't you sick of us?". "Never!" was their reply. It just amazes me the favor the Lord continues to shine on 33Miles. It is humbling. Praise Jesus for Praise In The Park!

:-) Huge fan of 33Miles. Last year when me and my husband (Joseph) and daughter (Naomi) attended Praise in the Park it was kinda the first we had heard of 33Miles. We bought ya'lls CD and have listened to it almost non-stop. *grin* My daughter (soon to be 4) can sing the majority of the lyrics~ So this year, we were ecstatic to hear that ya'll would be at Praise in the Park *again*! We were so enthused, even before we knew Casting Crowns would be there~ *grin* We got ya'lls other CD, and have *almost* worn it out already. Naomi (my daughter) is already screaming the lyrics there's something different about you, there's something different about you, I see God's love in your heart and He's making you shiiiiiiiiiiiiiine" **grin**
I also wanted to say a huge Thank You for showing just how much you value your family - and the time you spend with them. We thought it was great when your boys joined you on stage. That was beautiful~ and to know that your wife, parents and inlaws were there supporting you was totally wonderful -
Our family is praying that God continue to bless you and every endeavor with 33Miles (way awesome name, by the way), and even more so the family that God has so graciously given you -
There's only One Life to Love, and you are surely giving a great example on how to hold your loved ones close.
God's Blessings Abundant -
A 33Miles Fanatic

P.S. Soooooo, sounds like 33Miles may be a permanent guest of Praise in the Park? *Grin* We can't *wait* to see you guys in 2009! GOD BLESS!
